 Education: Primary: Darampur Kumar Basanta Kumar M.E. School, Darampur, Natore Secondary Adhyani Manomohani H.E. School, Arani, Rajshahi and Sardahe H.E. School, Saradha, Rajshahi. Higher education: Rajshahi College and Rajshahi University. Special training in education, education in Dhaka, Lahore and Karachi Nipay and academy of Comilla and Peshawar. Career: Professor (Bangla Division), Rajshahi Women's College and Rajshahi City College (1959-1960): Principal, Rajshahi City College (1960-1963) Principal, Rajshahi City College (1963-1974): Advisory (Bengali Division), Rajshahi (1974) -1998). Notable Barendra Academy Prize in 1983, Uttara Sahitya Majlish Prize 1982 (awarded in 1986), Bangla Sahityiki Padak 2002 and Rajshahi Association Gold Medal 2001 (given in 2003)
